HOW DOES PRICING WORK?
Photographers typically have contract rates they use when contracting weddings either months or years in advance. For unfilled dates (i.e. wedding dates coming up soon, week day weddings and Friday weddings, off season weddings or sometimes just open dates) our Photographers may be able to negotiate pricing since filling those dates may be less likely. Couples can take advantage of this by submitting bids to photographers for those unbooked dates.
HOW OUR PHOTOGRAPHERS VIEW YOUR BID
One of our professional independent photographers must first be available for your date. The photographers who have that date open will then review your bid. They'll look closely at the number of hours of coverage you prefer that day, your budget, and any other requirements the bid includes.
They then decide if they can accommodate the bid. You'll be notified within 48 hours if your bid is accepted or returned. Sometimes your bid will be returned and you'll be requested to submit another bid; sometimes a photographer will make a counter offer for you to either accept or deny.
Once your bid is accepted, you'll be contacted directly by your photographer to secure your date. How is your date secured? Your photographer will work with you on paying your retainer and reviewing and signing their wedding photography contract.
Parallax Weddings pairs couples with professional photographers for upcoming dates at affordable rates. Instead of paying full contract rates, couples who have weddings in the next few months can take advantage of contracting with a professional photographer at a lower rate.

Step 3 - Your bid is accepted or returned by our wedding photographers
Step 4 - If your bid is accepted, you'll be contact by your wedding photographer to move forward with securing your date and planning
